Mexico holidays
From the Caribbean Sea in the East to the Pacific Ocean in the West, Mexico is a land steeped in history and natural beauty. With over 30,000 plant species, many of them found nowhere else on the planet, nearly 1,000 bird species and 1,500 mammals, reptiles and amphibians, Mexico ranks among the top of the world’s most biodiverse nations.
As a country, Mexico satiates the senses, it really does have it all: a dynamic culture, enticing cuisine, a colourful history, awe-inducing sights and endless miles of perfect white sand beaches.
- Lapped by the warm waters of the Caribbean, the Yucatan Peninsula is home to some of the country’s most luxurious hotels. Visitors are drawn here by an enjoyable climate, idyllic beaches and the dramatic ruins of the ancient Mayan Kingdom that was once centred here.
- The resort area of Cancun offers an incredible selection of restaurants, bars and other attractions.
- Further south, the Mayan Riviera provides a more relaxed experience, stretching from the charming resort town of Playa Del Carmen in the north down to the coastal ruins of Tulum. Here you can enjoy miles of perfect beaches backed by swaying palms and ecological parks.
- Further inland there is the opportunity to explore some of the most impressive Mayan ruins including the renowned sites of Chichen Itza and Uxmal but also smaller sites still shrouded in jungle.
- Away from the Yucatan, Mexico offers many more attractions, the vast and vibrant capital of Mexico City, charming colonial towns built by the Spanish on the wealth of Silver, the monumental pre-Colombian site of Teotihuacan, the scenic beauty of the Copper Canyon, Baja California with its incredible marine life, the beaches of the Pacific Coast and everywhere towns and cities buzzing with life and colour.
