Not without reason is this beautiful Indonesian island of Bali called ‘The isle of the Gods’. Described by so many as ‘magical’, its landscape of lakes and fast flowing rivers is littered with banyans and palm groves and adorned with the exquisite artistry of carefully carved rice paddies. Inlets and coves indenting its coast are filled with white sand and sweeping bays and backed by the blossoms of a tropical Eden scented with subtle fragrances of frangipani and oleander. Intricate and beautiful tier-roofed temples and frequent cultural festivals scatter the island in a display of oriental and spiritual magnificence.

In Bali there is a vibrancy that touches everything, from the Gamelan orchestras and gold-costumed dancers, to the fine dining and luxury accommodation of its grand hotels.

Utterly magical, soothingly spiritual and immensely beautiful, Bali is many things to many people, but your own experience of it will be unique.

  • From palm fringed beaches to the lush green terraces of the fertile countryside, the beautiful island of Bali is, without doubt, one of the most magical places on earth. It has plenty of good sightseeing, shopping and watersports, but the most wonderful aspect are the wonderful and friendly people.
  • Ubud in the centre of the country is famed as the cultural centre of Bali with its beautiful paintings and handicrafts and backdrop of rice paddies.
  • Lombok is the Bali of some years ago, where donkey and cart are as common-place as the car. A peaceful and tranquil island that has temples, palaces and deserted beaches as well as waterfalls, monkeys galore and the majestic volcano of Mount Rinjani.
  • Contrasting with city life, the Indonesian island of Bintan lies like a drop of paradise in the South China Sea, just 45 minutes by ferry from sparkling Singapore. Bintan provides peaceful beaches and immense beauty with a cultural side in the south, where kelongs (fishing houses built on stilts) are scattered along the coastline.
  • Bali’s beaches are great for action or plain relaxation. The fishing boats, which line Jimbaran beach, offer the perfect waterfront view. Seminyak is the vibrant and trendy area where you will find a range of bars, delicious restaurants and small shops. Take an off road Jeep safari through the heart of the north western region of the island or watch the sunset from the famous Tanah Lot temple, built on a huge rock outcrop in the sea.
